Private GP Appointments
Pennant offers private GP appointments for all health matters that you would normally consult your GP with. These appointments are half hourly to allow time to get a full medical history and to allow for examination. Together with the patient, the GP will make a plan of treatment. All prescriptions are done privately, meaning that patients will have to pay for their prescriptions. These costs are not very high but are dependent on the medication being prescribed. Patients can also chose to have all their follow ups with us privately. The private GP will be able to request bloods and further investigations privately as well as manage these results with the patient and advise accordingly. Onward referrals to further specialists if needed are also possible.
The private GPs also do private medicals ranging from Heavy Goods, Taxi and Expedition Medicals. As medicals are so varied please contact us to see if we can undertake that medical here in our clinic.
Dr Darren Micheal Cornish
Dr Darren Micheal Cornish is our private GP who also works full time in the NHS. Dr Cornish trained in the Netherlands, at the Erasmus University, Rotterdam. After specialising further in General Practice and having worked as a GP, Dr Cornish returned to Wales, where his family originally comes from. Dr Cornish has a special interest in dermatology. Since graduating as a GP in 2012, both in the Netherlands and in Wales, Dr Cornish has been practising in minor surgery including minor skin cancer surgery. Dr Cornish is an avid Welsh Learner. He offers all health matters that you would normally consult with your GP.
Dr Carmen Munteanu
Dr Carmen Munteanu is one of our private GP’s, who specialises in Metabolic & Weight Loss Consultations.Body Composition Assessments, ,Longevity & Healthy Ageing Assessment, skin lesion assessments and lesion removals. Further details under Weight Management section.
Dr Anna Jones
Dr Anna Jones is one of our private GPs. She is a full time GP Principal in a local independant GMS practice. At Pennant she carries out private medicals (including ECGs), skin lesion assessments, minor skin surgery and Well Woman/Man consultations.
Dr Lucy Mather
Dr Lucy Mather is a GP and women’s health specialist doctor, registered with the British Menopause Society, and a member of the International Menopause Society, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Lifestyle Medicine.
